Stats

The core stats in Under a Hostile Sun are Might, Agility, Focus, Tech, Compassion and Dominance.  Stamina is set by your Archetype.

Every Stat except Dominance (which is used for Death Resists) and Stamina (which is used as “HP”) is associated with one of the five planetary resources – Molten Minerals, Arcane Algae, Strange Sap, Molten Minerals and Helpful Herbs.

The double-letters means it is easy to mark deposits of these on a homemade map – MM for Molten Minerals,AA for Arcane Algae, etc!

The Archetypes

AN expedition needs a well rounded team.  

• The Aerospace Doctor and Priest of the Immutable can keep the team alive
• The Beast Rider is unusually agile and an expert in taming creatures. 
• The Chemistry Professor and the Sister of Saturn can learn multiple recipes, making them agile for those that want to lean into the Alchemy System
• The Roboticist can have periods of temporary invulnerability and tame wild bots.
